The achievement of transforming a Victorian icon destination into a functional attractive precinct with associated residential accommodation was the deliverable in this design feasibility. The market space is preserved and enhanced and its activity is complemented by the elevated residential structure. The utilisation of large timber beams transcends the space to blend the design to achieve a design commonality of purpose.
